Málaga, located in Andalusia, Spain, is known for its sun-drenched beaches, rich Moorish and Roman history, and uniquely Andalusian cuisine. Málaga is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and home to the Dolmens of Antequera, a UNESCO world heritage site. Málaga’s vibrant culture and history is best experienced through its local fare, from traditional tapas to jamon iberico to fresh seafood right off the coast - we are excited to share our love of Málaga with you!
Upon arrival at Málaga-Costa del Sol airport, taxis are readily available curbside. You can also hail transportation via Uber or Bolt. It is a 15-20 minute drive from the airport to Málaga Centro or our suggested accommodations. Please note that if you choose a hotel within the Old Town (the outlined area), cars cannot enter its pedestrian-only streets. You may be dropped off at the perimeter and then face a short 5–10 minute walk to your accommodation.
While Málaga has no shortage of beautiful stays, here are a couple of suggested accommodations near the Old Town (but not located within). We recommend staying on the south side of the Old Town, closer to the water.
